The Wilhelm Lehmbruck Museum in Duisburg houses the best collection of sculptures from the 20th century in Germany. The museum is named after the sculptor Lehmbruck who was born in Duisburg and committed suicide in 1919 aged 38. His works form the largest focus of the museum. Other works are on display by internationally renowned sculptors and artists, including Archipenko, Barlach, Giacometti, Lipchitz and Rodin. The museum’s gallery covert 5,000 square meters, as well as a sculpture park.
