Schloss Friedrichstein is a castle and former residence of the Waldeck princes in the town of Bad Wildungen. The current building is Baroque in style, and was built as a replacement of the original medieval castle on the site. Today the castle houses a museum which largely focuses on weapons, hunting, and items captured during the war against the Turks in the 17th and 18th centuries. Many of the rooms have been restored, and the castle offers fantastic views from its hilltop position. There is an entrance fee to the museum.
