Schloss Benrath in Düsseldorf is a wonderful old Neo-Classical hunting lodge built in 1755. It has a wonderful surviving décor in side, and the grounds feature a fantastic park which is popular with locals and tourists for walking in. The palace has three museums in it – the Museum for European Garden Art, founded in 2002, The Corps de Logis, and the Museum of Natural History. The latter is the largest, and exhibits many species of plant and animal, as well as various items of rock and mineral. Guided tours are available of all parts of the Schloss.
