Set in a Gothic moated mansion in central Arnsberg is the Sauerland Museum. This is a regional museum for the whole area. Visitors discover the history of the region, with plenty of emphasis on Arnsberg itself. There are also exhibitions on this particular building’s history. The building is full of original furnishings, and those collected from other castles around the region. There are also various temporary exhibitions throughout the year. The museum is open most days and has an entrance fee.
