Cologne’s Rheinpark dates from 1913, but was styled in its current form for the 1957 Federal Garden Show, with a sculpture park, Tanzbrunnen fountain and the Sternwellenzelt by architect Frei Otto. The park is a favourite spot for city dwellers to go and relax, and is also popular with tourists. At the end of the park is a cable car which links it with Cologne Zoo and the sculpture park on the other side of the river, as well as the Botanical Gardens.
