The Museum Küppersmühle in Duisburg is located in one of the restored old warehouses on the waterfront – part of the city’s great industrial heritage. The museum displays modern and contemporary arts, mainly of German artists, but increasingly it displays international works too. It has many paintings by Sigmar Polke, Anselm Kiefer, and works by Georg Baselitz. There are five or six different exhibitions held each year, often incorporating works on loan from other institutions – a schedule can be found on the website or by visiting the museum.
