The Museum for Applied Art houses and expands one of Europe’s most important collections of applied art from the Middle Ages to the present day. Walking through the museum you will navigate the different time periods and styles. Exhibits include textiles, furniture, dining utensils and sculptures. There is an interesting display on interior design and jewellery. The museum was founded in 1888 by some enthusiastic Cologne residents and the collections of a number of scholars.
