The Lebendiges Museum on the outskirts of Bad Wildungen is the ‘Living Museum’ set up to demonstrate village and rural life, with particular emphasis on agriculture, in this part of Germany. The museum constantly adapts its exhibitions based on the seasons, with working areas for weaving, baking, wine production and working the land. There are various original restored tractors and other machinery on display. It has a small entrance fee and is open most of the year.
