The 19th century German painter Wilhelm von Kaulbach was born in the spa town of Bad Arolsen. The old Baroque house in which he was born and grew up is now a museum dedicated to his life and works. The house is restored to the condition it would have been when he lived here with his family. Many of his personal effects are here on display, as well as his workshop. In addition to this, many of his paintings and graphic works are also on display in the museum. There is a small admission fee to the museum.
