Located alongside the Richard Wagner and Franz Liszt museums in Bayreuth is the Jean Paul Museum. The legendary German poet was born in 1763. He lived and worked in Bayreuth from 1804 until his death in 1825. His poems are considered genius, and often include daydream themes and grandiose descriptions. The museum is situated in the house in which Jean Paul spent his final years, and exhibits many of his works. Visitors can also see the rooms in which he lived, and original items frm his life.
