Jagdschloss Grunewald is a pleasant white Renaissance hunting lodge located in the Grunewald area of forest to the east of Berlin, on a pretty lake shore. The lodge was built for Prince Elector Joachim II in 1542 and has been fully restored. Inside visitors will see many early German hunting paintings. Some of the works are by famous artists, such as Rubens, Lucas Cranach and Jordaens. Upstairs in the lodge offers great views over the lake and a collection of porcelains. There is also a small hunting museum included in the admission price.
