In the Cochem suburb of Cond is the Historic Mustard Mill (Historische Senfmühle), which dates from 1810. It is one of Europe’s oldest mustard mills, and is still in working order, producing nearly 400kg per day. It produces various types of mustard – one of which is from a 15th century monastic recipe. Visitors to the mill can take a guided tour around the production area to see how mustard is made. They can also sample and buy mustard from the shop. There is an admission fee.
