The Garden Kingdom of Dessau-Wörlitz is one of the most important and pleasant country parks in the whole of Europe. It has existed since Prince Leopold III of Anhalt-Dessau imagined the project and put his landscape architects to work on laying out the area. The Kingdom covers 145 square kilometers and comprises seven parks and palace gardens, such as the wonderful Luisium Palace and Gardens. The site is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Garden’s headquarters is Schloss Großkühnau.
