The Festspielhaus (Festival Theatre House) in Bayreuth is a wonderful stage in the city set inside a building which was constructed between 1872 and 1875. The theatre was specifically designed to hold the Wagner Festival each July and August. The world premiere of The Ring of the Nibelung was performed here in 1876.
