The Erzgebirgsmuseum in Annaberg-Buchholz is located just opposite the St. Annen church. It is a local museum of history and folklore from the Saxony region. In its many rooms are displays on medieval sculptures, plus the history of guilds and mining in and around the town. There are various exhibitions of local clothing and household items unique to the region on display. The museum is open most days and charges a small entrance fee.
