The East Side Gallery preserves the longest remaining section of the Berlin Wall and represents the largest open air gallery in the world. Spray paint graffiti artists covered much of the wall with slogans and artwork when it still stood, although mainly on the west site. This section highlights some of the famous pieces on the east side of the wall, and is now a listed landmark. The artwork was restored recently to counteract the deteriorating effect of being in the open air.
