The original Stadtkirche (city church) Heilig Dreifaltigkeit in Bayreuth was a medieval structure which was lost in a fire which swept through the city in the 17th century. It was immediately rebuilt, however, which gives us the building we see today. Although now largely a Gothic structure, some Baroque elements remain, such as the steeples of the twin towers. Inside are many original items, such as the font and a relief which shows an old view of Bayreuth.
