The Dreifaltigkeitskirche, or Church of the Holy Trinity, in Alsfeld was formerly a Augustinian convent church. It was built between the 13th and 15th centuries. It was expanded to its current size in 1435, and comprises a Gothic hall style building. Inside are a pulpit from 1660 and impressive cross-ribbed vaults. This establishment was where the monk Tilemann Schnabel started to spread the Reformation in 1522. The church was given a new interior in 1963, with the addition of new windows.
