Map

The Church of St. Jakob in Dachau was built in 1625 in place of an older gothic church which had collapsed. The new church is built in Renaissance style, and has a 44 metre octagonal tower. Inside a number of items are of interest, including the choir area built by Munich master-builder Friedrich Sustris, the aisle planned by Hans Krumpper, the altar-painting by Professor Josef Hauber, the christening font by Adam Luidl, and the apostle figures by Constantin Pader in 1625.
