In addition to the Christian Daniel Rauch Museum in Bad Arolsen, his birthplace house is also open to the public a short distance away on Rauchstrasse. The famous sculptor was born here on 2nd January 1777. His father was formerly a servant in this house, which was later to become his possession. The house displays a number of works of art by Rauch, as well as some of his travel diaries from journeys to Italy to study sculpture, and a number of his sculpting tools. There is an entrance fee.
