Calw’s City Museum (Museum der Stadt Calw) is located in the former Palais Vischer stately home. It was built from 1787 to 1791. The building is in fantastic condition, and much of its original interior survives. There are 18 rooms dedicated to the museum, which tells the history of Calw, including its famous residents, events, economic history as a textile centre, and has many artefacts on display. There is a small admission fee. The museum is open only April to October.
