Berlin Cathedral (Berliner Dom) was built from 1894-1905 and is the largest Protestant church in Germany. The building is situated on the Spree island and is built of granite with plenty of decoration on its exterior. It has been rebuilt with a more simple dome and cross since bombing in World War 2. Visitors may be surprised at the grand interior. They can also visit the Hohenzollern crypt where the coffins of this former ruling party lie. The garden plaza in front of the church is also worth a visit.
