Bauhaus is the name of the famous art and architecture school in Dessau. The complex of buildings making up the school in the centre of town was built in 1925, designed by Walter Gropius. It is famous for inventing the Bauhaus style of modernist architecture. Today there is a museum located in the school, which naturally covers the movement and all of the famous pupils and buildings which have resulted from it. This is somewhat of a popular museum for fans of architecture.
