The Bauhaus Archiv building was designed by Walter Gropius in 1976-79. It is famous for its curved exterior, which has become a Berlin landmark. Inside is the Bauhaus Archiv Museum of Design, or Museum für Gestaltung. The objects inside from the school of design, architecture and art, have all been influential on other designers. The collection is the world’s largest on the subject. Other items include furniture, ceramics, photography, metalwork, stage pieces, all from the Bauhaus school’s students or teachers.
