The Residenzschloss in Bad Urach is a large half-timbered palace building located in the spa town. It was built when Urach became capital of one of the two counties that emerged from Württemberg when it was split in 1422. The palace is open to the public, where the restored rooms are on display. The Goldener Saal is the best. On display in the palace is a collection of Baroque sleighs. There is an entrance fee.
