The Agricultural History (Agrarhistorisches) Museum in Alt Schwerin is a lovely open air museum. It gives the visitor an impression of the town and this rural region during distinct periods in the past, such as 1870, 1910, 1942 and 1960. From these periods there are various household and farming items on display in reconstructed rooms. Around the grounds you’ll find various agricultural items, such as ploughs, and a windmill. There’s also an exhibition on industrial agriculture from 1945 to 1990. The museum is open from March to October and has an entrance fee.
