The Adam Ries museum is in the centre of Annaberg-Buchholz. Adam Ries was a great German mathematician who lived between 1492 and 1559 here in the town. The museum exhibits his life and works, and emphasises the importance of these. Most of the text is in German, however the items, equipment and personal effects on display are still noteworthy. The museum charges a small entrance fee, and is open most days, year-round.
