The Academic Art Museum (Akademisches Kunstmuseum) in Bonn is operated by the city’s university, and located next to the Hofgarten in a large Neoclassical pavilion designed by Schinkel. The museum houses many sculptures and other works of art. The difference here is that most have been used in the study of art. In fact, many of the sculptures are casts of original, famous works of art. It often has lectures and temporary exhibitions passing through. There is a small entrance fee. The museum is open most days.
